In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
