Devoted followers of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a fence and grabbed the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account features clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of Singapore attendees had waited to see the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part version of the well-known stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning film of last year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, securing several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
