Police have released concerning footage showing a motorist performing dangerous skidding techniques on a traffic circle during an unauthorized car meet, placing onlookers at significant danger of harm.

An individual aged 23 from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.
In addition, the judge issued a one-year license suspension and ordered unpaid work along with a rehabilitation program.

According to authorities, the recording was filmed at an illegal automobile gathering in the city on 28 December 2024, featuring the driver driving a pink BMW.

A police sergeant commented: “Local people, drivers and our traffic officers have had their fill with these crowds of motorists thoughtlessly occupying streets and parking areas and we will not tolerate it.”
He added: “They are not only a total disturbance, but they also put themselves and innocent bystanders at danger of severe harm.”
He finished: “Our efforts will persist to prosecute these drivers and I hope these latest incidents act as a caution: you won’t get away with it.”
