Netflix Chooses Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a adored, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. This character can use their power to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that character reimagined as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
Escola is joined by a number of fresh additions set to bring the organization to the screen, including leader Mr. 0, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though this character is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a major departure in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
