The star midfielder Played in a forward spot on the right while also put in the hard yards. Showed moments of class and dragged an effort wide. Substituted towards the end by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7

The winger Was presented with the team's best chance of the first half, his strike well saved by the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah hanging back, he was forced to offer an outlet down the right side but his crosses into the box were inconsistent. Taken off late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes at international level. The first a classic close-range tap-in and the second an excellent headed goal having drifted away off his defender. At 32, his form is unwavering with the national team stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact from the left. Had a presentable chance when set up from a teammate however Strakosha denied him. Rashford made much more of an impact in his place. 5
