Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's new record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.
Football and Family Experiences
Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Forecasts

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' only on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still that team's manager.
So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.
My son advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the road this term, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.
Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.
But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
